ewool Canada (« ewool », « we ») operates ewool.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who receives it and what rights you have, on the site, at checkout and in our store.
Who is responsible
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for protecting your personal information. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
What we collect
- When you order: name, shipping and billing addresses, email, phone number, products purchased. Payment is entered on the Shopify checkout.
- When you sign up for our emails, enter a contest or contact us: your email and the information you provide.
- When you apply for a job: your contact details and résumé.
- When you leave a product review: your review, email, IP address and browser.
- When you use the site: with your consent, the analytics and advertising data described in our Cookie Policy. Our servers also receive technical data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address and browser.
- Your consent choice, recorded as described in our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders and returns, and to answer you.
- To send you emails and offers if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To contact you about our products, services, surveys, promotions and contests, by phone (including automated dialing and answering), email, mail or otherwise.
- To compile information about rewards or loyalty programs we may set up from time to time.
- To run contests and promotions you enter.
- To measure and improve the site and our advertising, if you turned these on.
- To assess job applications.
- To protect the site and meet our legal obligations.
Identification, location and profiling technologies
Our analytics and advertising technologies can identify you or build a profile of your interests and behaviour. They stay off until you turn them on in the consent window. You can change your choice at any time with the Consent preferences link at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
If you accepted advertising and place an order, we send Meta the order value and product codes, your hashed email, phone number, name, city, province, postal code, country and customer ID, your Meta browser identifiers, your browser’s user agent and the page address. Meta uses them to measure our ads. Without your consent, none of this is sent.
Who receives it
We share personal information only with these recipients, and only what each one needs:
- Shopify: store and checkout. Vercel and Neon: site hosting and consent records. Brevo: emails. Freshworks: customer support. Supabase: product reviews. Mailgun: business inquiry forms.
- Shipping carriers and our warehouse: order delivery.
- Other ewool group companies, so they can contact you about their products, services, promotions and offers, and use your information for the purposes in this policy.
- Google, Meta and Microsoft: analytics and advertising, with your consent.
- A buyer or potential buyer, if all or part of the business is sold, as the law permits.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and our advisers, to protect our rights.
Outside Québec
Several of these providers store or process information outside Québec, including in the United States. Information held there may be subject to local law.
Your rights
- See the personal information we hold about you and receive details about it.
- Correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need to keep it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing can limit what we can provide, for example processing an order.
- Complain to our Privacy Officer, or to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Children
The site is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can contact us to access or delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or longer if the law requires it. Your consent choice stays on your device for up to one year. We keep consent records as long as we need them to prove consent.
How we protect it
We use physical, technical and administrative measures suited to the sensitivity of the information. The site and checkout use encrypted connections. Although we do not take responsibility for any theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction of data, we take reasonable precautions to prevent them. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
Changes
When we change this policy, we publish the new version here and update the date at the top.
Other sites
The site may contain links to other websites that ewool does not operate. This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties, and ewool assumes no responsibility for those practices or for the privacy practices of websites it does not operate. By using the site or accessing a third party’s website from it, you release ewool from any responsibility for the actions, practices and omissions of third parties. By clicking a link to another website, you may automatically submit to that website’s privacy practices. Please check those websites’ privacy policies. In no event shall ewool or any ewool affiliate be liable to you or anyone else for any damages or injury whatsoever (including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages) arising out of or in connection with the misuse of personal information by those websites.
